ESC Guidelines re Heart Disease Prevention

Not feeling so good today but I did want to point out new heart disease prevention guidelines published online last Thursday in the European Heart Journal by the European Society of Cardiology.  However, the recommendations remain essentially unchanged:

1) stop using tobacco
2) get physically active 30 minutes/day at least 5 days/week
3) keep body mass index <25kg/m2
4) keep blood pressure <140/90mm Hg
5) keep total cholesterol <190mg/dL
6) keep fasting glucose <100mg/dL & HgbA1c <5.7%
7) avoid excess stress

It's nice to know that all the currently available evidence supports the above as trends rather than flukes.
